A<g5:\3 NQvT4.* 'The Moonshine Sessions' - a new album from Philippe Cohen Solal, French composer, DJ & Producer, cofounder of Gotan Project - is as unexpected as it is remarkable. Mostly self- composed, recorded near Nashville, Tennessee, with an ansemble of virtuoso musicians, and devoid of dance beats or electronica, this is an album of purest acoustic country music. Haunting, beautifully simple, unobtrusively emotional, atmospheric and strangely contemporary, it's a piece of creative risk taking that has paid off dramatically. st CFLYox
