In 1996, Fran Healy borrowed 600 from his mum to pay for the recording of 'D?sRbJ=
Travis's very fi rst single. That track, the rousingly self-descriptive All I u]<`y6=&C
Want To Do Is Rock, was released on the band's own label, Red Telephone Box, Jh%k:TrBm
with a sleeve designed by Healy. Only 750 copies were 9QkIMJf0e
made, but that was enough to kick-start a career for the four Glaswegian pals $]b&3_O$N8
which has since reaped numerous hit singles, awards, platinum-selling albums and {'Gu@l
festival headline slots. Famous Now, twelve years on, the band have made 'Ode To J|b:Zo9<f"
J Smith', their loudest, edgiest and most arresting record since that formative >H?~2O
track. Fittingly, they're revived Red Telephone Box to release it, with Healy tmC9p6%
once again handling artwork duties. The big difference this time is that, having &uJ7[m19z
shifted ten million albums in the intervening period, Mrs Healy's funding was _LLE~nUK"/
