The one and only Michael Buble's eagerly awaited new CD m'h`%0Tc
"Call Me Irresponsible' will be released on May 1st, it JGH;&UYP
was confirmed by his record label, Reprise Records. The qsnZ?hXPp

"Everything", has just been released and will be performed BbA7X

The Vancouver native, whose collective worldwide record o"F=3b~:n
sales are over 11 million units, is also scheduled to #biI=S
begin a global concert tour in Reno, Nevada on July 13th 2CX'J8Sy
with stops including Chicago, New York, Philadelphia, w4YuijhW
Atlanta, Los Angeles and Seattle. 9Xw(|22

Call Me Irresponsible highlights include Buble's energy BLzl XhHn
infused interpretations on standards from a variety of hr9[$4'H
eras including songs by such greats as Leonard Cohen, Eric ` <+MR6M
Clapton, Cy Coleman, Gamble and Huff, Harold Arlen, Johnny uW*)B_c
Mercer and others. |/,XdTSy
e 5hq> K
Produced by David Foster and Humberto Gattica, T%kr&XsQX
Irresponsible includes a touching Buble written ballad tuzw% =Ey
called "Lost," along with a rocking duet with Boys II Men rwb7>]UI"d
of the old Mel Torme' hit "Coming Home Baby." Brazilian 0pT?qsM2
singer Ivan Lens also makes a guest appearance on the ^J,Zl`N
Clapton written "Wonderful Tonight". The pairing of these Kj| l]'
two voices from two totally different generations gzS6{570
magnifies Buble's summation of this record-love is ?[#nh@mI
universal and ageless. X-$~j+YC

As for the album, Buble says, "It's all about love. We're Y<lJj"G
either in love, dreaming about love recovering from it, [R$iX
wishing for it or reflecting on it. That's what this G }B)bM2
record is about." aw z(W >

Michael BubleThe Grammy-nominated, four-time Juno Award C*A!`Q?1Y
winning Buble arrived on the music scene with a "M.\Z9BCt
groundbreaking 2003 self-titled debut CD and embarked on 'l,ym~R
what would virtually become a perpetual concert tour B5'-v%YO+
circling the globe continuously for the last five years. L F\4>(C2g
His multi platinum follow-up, "It's Time," sold over 5.5 F91'5D,u0
million copies and has remained on the Billboard }Gmwm|`*
Traditional Jazz charts for a staggering two years and in |E/r64T
the No. 1 slot for over 80 weeks, holding the all time 9VyY [&
record. His reputation as one of the world's consumate L;d(|7BVv
'entertainers' is by now legendary. "Buble's stage J[6`$$l0
presence is magnetic. He has charisma, energy and when he Ke0j8|
sings, words float out of his mouth; he swivels like Elvis 9ohaU
with a flash of a tap dancing Fred Astaire. He has fun," ]"Y? ZS;H
raved the London Sunday Times Magazine. yu ~Rk

Ask Michael Bubl?how he felt going in to record his third IKT3T_\-I
studio album, Call Me Irresponsible, and this artist with e nsou!l
11 million albums sold and two Grammy nominations under ,,_$r7H`
his belt can sum it up in one word. (~ 6oA f
!g=2U`j^
"Terrified," he says simply. Terrified? "uR,WY
EqW/Wxv7b
"Completely, because I knew that it had to be better than Fk01j;k.H
the first two - that it had to show growth without 49vKb(bz{
alienating anyone, and that's a tough line. So I sat there .EJo 9s'
from the very beginning and came up with the songs, put DbRq,T
together the skeleton, and thought about what arrangers I WCc7 MK
would hire. I even ended up at the mastering session, 1D3{\v
which artists rarely attend. I wanted to be involved in wxy. &a]
every aspect because I wanted it to be conceptually pY75S5h:
beautiful." +6dq+8msF

Bubl?has certainly achieved success on that front. As T0=8 U; =
with his previous two 143/Reprise bestsellers, 2003's hfUN~89;
self-titled debut and 2005's multi-platinum follow-up It's /DxaKZ ;b
Time, Call Me Irresponsible boasts more of Bubl?s s,&tD WU
buoyant, modern interpretations of standards from a MM_c{gFF
variety of eras, including songs by such greats as Leonard ~?l>QP|o
Cohen, Eric Clapton, Cy Coleman, Gamble and Huff, and v<+5B5"1
others, as well as two self-penned originals, including 8UY[$lc
the first single, the uplifting love song called |Nx7jGd:i
"Everything." Tf [o'=2

But it's hardly business as usual for this Vancouver K"lZwU\:On
native. It never is for Bubl? whose irrepressible spirit, 5Q $6~\
engaging humor, and confident charisma once led the New PtR8m=O
York Times to call him "an entertainer who is completely !% 'dyj
at home on the stage." vUtA@
lOk'stLNa&
Michael BubleHis new CD, which he calls "my remark on the X@:[.eI~
state of love," contains a depth of feeling that will E?,O>bCJ5
surprise and delight long-term fans and impress those new KmUH([#
to his music. "To me, what's different about this CD is 2y"]rUS`
that it has a certain raw emotion because I recorded many ;8!L*uMI
of these songs live in the studio." Bubl?introduces the &-l(nr]h]
electrifying, impeccably orchestrated set to follow with A.`) 0dV
the opening track, Cy Coleman's "The Best Is Yet To Come," -u!{8S~wA
(made famous by Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald, and others). ZdcG6IG+
Then there's the exhilarating, salsa-flavored "It Had "n,? )
Better Be Tonight," written by Johnny Mercer and Henry uvbXsO"z]]
Mancini, which Bubl?attacks with a hot-blooded PH6!T/2[
vengeance-"another very sexy songand edgy." From there, ElBpF8xJ|o
he takes on "Me and Mrs. Jones," the 1972 Gamble and Huff puE!7 :X7
classic popularized by soul singer Billy Paul. "David 'JA<q-Gn
(Foster) brought it to me, I'd never actually heard it nQy%av$
before," Bubl?says. "We wanted it to be authentic and VZ69s{/.B
tell the story." Next up is Leonard Cohen's "I'm Your Man" C"X; ,F<
from the Canadian singer/songwriter's 1988 album of the yL ?dC"c
same name. "I always thought it was a wonderful song - G a1B&@T
desperate, sexy, and dark," Bubl?says. "I actually called 9c `Vrlu
Leonard and told him I was afraid of performing it live. >P-{2 a,4
When he asked me why, I said because he'd written too sexy ExJch\
of a song and I was afraid men were going to throw their WoYXXYP/E
underpants at me. He just laughed and said, 'I wouldn't YfB8
worry too much about that.'" )21yD1"6
m]XG7:}V0
Then there's a swinging, hep-cat version of Mel Torm?s 5 5$J% ;&
1962 pop hit "Comin' Home Baby," featuring vocals from vz{Z tE"
Philly soul faves Boys II Men; and a sentimental, m :M=De
self-penned ballad "Lost," co-written with Chang and m+Um^:\jX
Canadian singer-songwriter Jann Arden. "It's an anthem for {`X O3
star-crossed lovers," Bubl?says. "Sometimes relationships [PRQa[_
don't work out because love isn't enough, but that doesn't qKL :#ny
mean you have to discard the person. There is a way to end bUcq LV
a relationship and still be there when they need you. $0(~ID
That's basically what it's about." V~tZNR J-
CAs8=N#H%
A languid, emotional rendition of Eric Clapton's ballad 71)DLGL
"Wonderful Tonight," on which Bubl?duets with Brazilian Qv v~nGq$
singer-songwriter Ivan Lins, whose work has been covered Aw7oyC!
by everyone from Sarah Vaughan to Ella Fitzgerald follows. hXF#KVqx
"I've always been very sentimental about that song," Bubl? cN]e{|
says. "What is interesting about that track is here I am, _s(izc
a 31-year-old guy from Canada who's singing a song that 5(+9( \x
means so much to me with a 61-year-old man from Brazil, @d/Wa=K
who's singing in his own language but it means the exact JZc"4qf@OT
same thing to both of us." R:[IH2F s
RxeyMNd
Other highlight's include two of Bubl?s original songs, -c_}^j
including the acoustic-guitar driven "Everything," 5:" zs
co-written with Amy Foster-Gillies and Alan Chang (who mmf}6ABYT
also co-wrote Bubl?s touching hit ballad "Home" off It's XkGS3EY
Time) and produced by fellow Canadian Bob Rock (Bon Jovi, .YYLMI
Metallica, Motley Crue, Bryan Adams). "I wrote that song J.t tJOP
about the great happiness of real love, but at the same =zetZJg
time I was making a statement about the world," Bubl? 0vi)m y;!
says. "We're living in really crazy times, and I wanted to =Su~i Oa
say that no matter what's happening, this person in my n#\ t_/\
life is what really makes it worthwhile." N51g<K
b@p3iq:
Michael BubleRounding out Call Me Irresponsible is Frank VH>?%aL
Sinatra's "That's Life," which, in Bubl?s hands, becomes @_:Jm tH<
a powerhouse complete with a full choir. "I brought the |_ChK6Q?v
song to a wonderful guy named Mervyn Warren, from the =~|:93]k
acappella group Take 6 and said, 'I want to take this to -JMlk:~
church; I want to make it a huge gospel tune.' So he j$%uip{
brought in a choir and I love it. It's one of my favorite #z. QBG@
things about the record." K1*oYHB
1kDr;.m%
To help him capture the intensity in the songs' meanings, x!@3.$
Bubl?turned to his long-standing team of producers, which K4.GAGd
include 14-time Grammy winner David Foster (Barbra + f+#W
Streisand, Celine Dion, Josh Groban) and producer/engineer <"}Gvi
Humberto Gatica (Elton John, Destiny's Child, Michael Iz^lED
Jackson). "We definitely have a great working relationship &a/F"?9jL
where I think I interfere just enough," Bubl?says with a 9hNHcl.
laugh. "I mean, David is the greatest producer in the 2A,iY}R
world. They're both so amazing, I couldn't do it without U"0Ts!CABA
them." BS(XEmJn&j
@xBw'
Foster first discovered Bubl?seven years ago when he M~o\K'
caught the aspiring star performing at the wedding of 'K8emt$d+
former Canadian Prime Minster's daughter. The son of a C{5^UCJkg
British Columbia-based salmon and herring fisherman, Bubl? $h)VKW^\
spent the months his parents were away with his I7Uj<a=(q
music-loving Italian grandfather, who introduced him to K]bw1K K
the singers who would become Bubl?s idols: Bobby Darin, S2!$
Dean Martin, Sinatra, Ray Charles, and Elvis Presley. 0r|mg::'
"These guys were triple threats," he says. "They could Da@H^
sing, they could dance, they could act. They were "&Y5Nh
entertainers, and I believe that's a lost art now." :t'*fHi~
4ne95_i
Bubl?honed his skills as a showman through years of $@ R[$/
performing in hotel lounges and smoky bars - gigs his ,'FdUq)i
grandfather, a plumber, helped the underage singer secure q ad`muAd
by trading his plumbing services. By the time Foster met qh]ILE87(
him 2000, Bubl?already knew exactly what he brought to uFXu9f+
the table - a warm, engaging voice and unassailable taste Gl@-RLo
in music. His debut album was an international smash, /-mo8]J#2~
going Top Ten in the U.K. and Canada, and earning him his E+tV7xa~
first Juno award for Best New Talent in 2004. The `g~T #U\>d
follow-up, It's Time, sold more than 5.5 million copies, S,'y L7s
and has remained on the Billboard Traditional Jazz charts ~"t33U6
for a staggering two years, and in the Number 1 slot for faqh }4
more than 80 weeks, an all-time record. L<` p;?
;O Td<
But along with his passion for creating great music in the 3WTNWz#h
studio, performing on stage is pure paradise for Michael {,Py%.vvR
Bubl? "I just love getting in front of people," he says. 0>aAI3E
"It's so important to be in touch with your audience. lY,dyNFHV
They've paid their money. I want them to be entertained. "=/YPw^0
If they want to cry or laugh or dance or sing or yell, x9lG$0k:V
they can do whatever they want. My responsibility is just B(z?IW&
to take them away." o`EL)K{

Special edition includes the bonus track "Love" tt%lDr1A)
